In the age of social media, when people’s personal lives are presented as a perfectly curated marketing campaign, my Look Away series is an attempt at an honest portrait of the carefully contained chaos that is my day-to-day life as a working mother. Each day is a delightful explosion of love, a veritable circus of dogs and babies and art and toy cars and trying to get out of the house without tripping over blocks or forgetting my shoes or misplacing my keys or all of the above. It’s a heart melting, brain scrambling, sanity splattering existence and it’s not perfect, but it is pretty damn fantastic.
